EastEnders Confirms Mick and Janine Christmas Storyline

EastEnders has confirmed pub landlord Mick Carter and his barmaid Janine Butcher will grow closer this Christmas after they're involved in a festive storyline which sees the pair join forces against Peter Beale.

After overhearing Peter put together a bid to sponsor the Albert Square Christmas tree, and with Mick worried about the pubs takings, Janine suggests that Mick put in a bid of his own.

After the boozer's sponsorship is announced, Peter storms into the Vic and blasts both Mick and Janine for outbidding him. As the trio continue to bicker, Rainie and Stuart are upset to hear they've missed out on an advertising opportunity.

Later, Peter returns to the pub and reveals he's managed to outbid them, but that evening Mick is shocked to learn that Janine is armed and ready to take Peter down.
