Viewers will finally get to find out what Stuart and Rainie Highway have been
up to when the married couple return to Walford in upcoming episodes.
Stuart refused to have surgery following his cancer diagnosis after he became
concerned he would relapse and become addicted to the painkillers he would
need during recovery.
After fighting with her husbands decision, Rainie decided to support Stuart's
choice to leave and find alternative treatment for his cancer.
When the pair return, it seems Stuart's views on the alternative treatment
remains, insisting the tumour has shrunk.
Later, Rainie approaches Sonia Jackson and asks if the treatment Stuart is following could actually be working, but Sonia reveals the pills Stuart is on are unlikely to make any difference to his condition at all.
Overcome with worry, Rainie demands Stuart visits his doctor for an update on
his condition.
At the hospital, the couple brace themselves for the results. Has Stuart's
alternative treatment worked? Or has the cancer spread?
