Ever since Sam Mitchell returned to Albert Square, fans of the character have
been speculating if Chrissie Watts is free from prison, and if she could make
an explosive return under new Exec producer, Chris Clenshaw.
Tracy-Ann Oberman play Chrissie for only a year, way back in 2004-2005 when
she arrived shortly after her husband, Den Watts.
It wasn't long before she was embroiled in a revenge attack on Den, one that
left the Queen Vic landlord dead and her being sent to prison for his murder.
So why would Chrissie want to return to Walford? - When Sam Mitchell returned to Albert Square in 2009, she was arrested for her involvement in Den's murder, but her main concern was running into Chrissie in prison.
Chrissie also has beef with Sharon, Phil and Grant who all helped in sending
her to prison. Could she have some unfinished business to deal with?
Another reason for fan speculation is Tracy-Ann who played her, recently
tweeted the new Exec producer Chris Clenshaw asking for him to contact her.
Although it is merely a rumour, would you like to see Chrissie, and possibly Zoe Slater, return to Walford for a big storyline?
EastEnders airs weeknights on BBC One.
