EastEnders has released the first look pictures of the moment Jean Slater
heads off to the seaside alone in her wedding dress.
Jean's erratic behaviour has continued to concern her loved ones in recent
episodes, but Stacey's latest intervention failed to help her mum.
Next week will see Jean concentrate on planning her wedding to Harvey Monroe,
but when he discovers how much of his money Jean has already spent, he insists
the pair look for a flat together in Southend first.
Sadly Harvey's attention is drawn away from Jean when he receives a phone call from the prison to reveal Aaron has been attacked and is now in hospital.
Realising how desperate Harvey is, Stacey decides to support her mum's fiancé
and goes with him to visit Aaron in hospital.
In the hospital waiting room, Stacey takes the opportunity to try and make Harvey see that Jean is unwell, begging
him not to marry her mum. When he later returns home, Harvey reveals to Jean that his son is in
hospital, but her reaction leaves him stunned.
After her nonchalant attitude towards his son's health, and her over the top
wedding dress, Harvey comes to the conclusion that Stacey might be right after
all.
With his son being his full focus, Harvey tells Jean they need to slow down on the wedding plans, something that leaves Jean furious enough for her to move back in with the Slaters.
Determined to still get her happily ever after, Jean puts on her wedding dress
and heads out the door, later leaving Stacey gobsmacked when Billy reveals he
see her mum walking through the square.
Unable to find her mum, Stacey pleads with Martin to help find Jean, and after
talking to Harvey they realise she's headed to Southend.
After Jean spends some time riding the rollercoaster at the fairground, Martin
and Stacey arrive and are horrified to see Jean walking into the sea in her
wedding dress.
Will Stacey and Martin reach her in time?
