Last night's episode see cancer patient Stuart Highway receive an important
update about his health. In heartbreaking scenes, Stuart was informed that he
must start a round of chemotherapy.
Stuart initially refused treatment for his breast cancer due to the fear of
becoming addicted to the painkillers he would inevitably need after the
operation.
Upcoming scenes will see the undertaker finally give in to the pain and start
taking his pills, but Vi becomes concerned when he refuses to hold his son,
Roland.
When Rainie becomes aware of Stuart's reluctance to bonding with his own son,
she turns to Bernie for help.
Speaking about his current storyline, actor Ricky Champ who plays Stuart explained: "I feel honoured to be trusted with such an important storyline. I hope by shedding a light on male breast cancer, more men will be aware of it and seek out a doctor if they notice anything wrong."
Dany Bell of Macmillan Cancer Support added: "Macmillan is here to offer
advice and support to anyone impacted by the storyline and we encourage anyone
experiencing signs or symptoms of cancer to visit their GP."
