EastEnders First Look: The Truth is Out

EastEnders has released the first look pictures of the moment Ben Mitchell opens up to his mum about his sexual assault, leading to some heart wrenching scenes which will undoubtedly see Max and Gillian deliver some breathtaking performances.

Ben is currently living with his mum following his assault, with Callum believing Ben had consensual sex with the bar manager.

As we head into next week, Kheerat becomes concerned when Ben refuses to work at The Arches, so Jay has a word with a mate of his who can fill in at the garage until Ben returns.

When Ben finally arrives back at work, he's not happy to see Kheerat has employed somebody else, and it's not long before he becomes unsettled with Dave's overly friendly behaviour.

Later, Ben overhears Lewis telling Kathy that he was recently involved in a homophobic attack, but Ben has no sympathy and tells him that he gave him an STI.

When Ben returns to The Arches, Kheerat is worried when he notices what medication Ben is taking.

With Kathy becoming increasingly fed up with her son's behaviour, things take another turn when Ben spots Callum and Lewis chatting in the Vic, with Callum offering advice to Lewis about reporting his homophobic attack to the police.

After Ben spends the night in the garage, Kheerat is shocked when he sees the state he's in so wastes no time heading over to speak to Kathy about her son. 

When Ben arrives home, he and Kathy get into another heated argument, but as she continues to blame Ben over his marriage breakdown, it becomes clear that Ben was raped.

Kathy instantly tries to support her son but Ben explains he wants to be alone.

When Ben returns home, he and Kathy have a lengthy discussion about what happened.

After their emotional chat, Kathy urges her son to report his attack to the police, but will he listen?

EastEnders air these scenes next week on BBC One.
