Regular viewers may start to notice some changes over the coming weeks as
Chris Clenshaw's takeover will start to air on our screens.
Chris's name was credited on the soap as Executive Producer for the first time
last week after the Jubilee special. It has been revealed that Chris has some
huge and exciting new storylines due to hit our screens in the summer.
An EastEnders source told Digital Spy: "Chris's storylines aren't on
screen just yet, but there's not long to wait before his era begins."
So what should we expect with the new EastEnders boss? Well it's not the first
time Clenshaw has worked on the soap, he has previously worked on the show as
a storyliner and story editor between 2015 and 2019.
Chris helped to create storylines such as Stacey Slater’s postpartum
psychosis, matriarch Peggy Mitchell’s final farewell and the Shakil Kazemi
knife crime storyline, so I think we're in safe hands!
Sadly, with new bosses comes change that some viewers will not be happy with.
It was revealed last week much-loved character Lola Pearce would be leaving,
with no chance of returning (click here to read).
EastEnders airs Monday to Thursday 7.30pm on BBC One.
