EastEnders: Janine Butcher's Lies Exposed

EastEnders has hinted that Janine Butcher's involvement in Linda's crash is to be exposed in upcoming scenes when Scarlett discovers what her mum has done.

Janine took the opportunity last week to try and frame Linda Carter as a drunk driver. Sadly for Janine, she made a multitude of errors as she tried to cover her tracks.

Firstly Janine dragged Linda's unconscious body to the driver's side where she slumped the Vic landlady at the wheel of the vehicle.

She then told a fellow motorist she was simply passing when she discovered the wreck, before rushing back to Albert Square to discard her blood covered clothes.

Next week there's not much change in Linda's condition, and Janine continues to hide her involvement in the crash, but things take a worrying turn for her when Scarlett reveals to Sonia about the cut on her mum's head the day of the accident.

Later, after visiting Mick, Janine heads home to discover Scarlett has told Sonia about one of her recent lies. Janine knows her daughter is on to her.

As Scarlett puts the pieces of the puzzle together, it doesn't take the youngster long to realise her mum was involved in the crash.

As Scarlett questions her mum, she comes to the shocking conclusion that her mum is also framing Linda for the crash.

Scarlett reveals she's not covering for her mum's evil actions and heads off to the Vic to tell Mick everything!

Speaking of the upcoming scenes, actress Charlie Brooks said recently: "I don't think she thinks that her daughter will do her over. I think it's a slight concern in the back of her mind because she doesn't know her child, really.

"She's probably experiencing a lot of guilt that she doesn't know how to deal with, so she just pushes it down because she can't access those emotions. I think it's a faint fear in the background."

Should Scarlett hold any loyalty to Janine?
