Hersha Verity who plays EastEnders newcomer Dr Nina Gupta, has revealed there's more
to the character than meets the eye.
Nina has appeared in a handful of episodes, but her character will continue to
develop in upcoming scenes. Speaking to Digital Spy, Hersha
revealed: "There is a lot more to her that is slowly starting to unfold.
She has a few wants and goals of her own that go far beyond the surgery. So I
am excited for that to unfold!"
Hersha also explained her "connection to the Panesar family was
interesting." - Could there be a connection between Dr Nina and Suki's
husband, Nishandeep?
With the characters around the Panesar's building by the week, I think it's
safe to assume that Mr Panesar is slowly making his way to Albert Square.
Viewers will want to quickly understand why exactly Nishandeep went to prison for murder, and the story behind it. Also, the apparent abuse Suki suffered at the hands of her husband.
One thing is for sure, we're in for a rocky ride with the Panesar family!
