Fans of Jay and Lola have wanted to see the young couple back together, and
also for the actors to have better storylines. Thankfully EastEnders are
giving us both of those things, but sadly it comes at a cost, with the
heartbreaking storyline kicking off in upcoming scenes.
The couple have been on and off since Lola's arrival back in 2011, with
infidelity being the reason for their most recent break-up in 2020.
In scenes airing shortly, Honey will become frustrated with her hungover
boyfriend for spending the night out with Frankie and Lola, and later makes
plans with them to do it all over again.
That night at Peggy's nightclub, Jay pretends to be Lola's boyfriend after she gets harassed by a dodgy bloke in the club.
The following day the pair laugh about their previous night's antics,
completely unaware that Lexi has overheard everything.
When Lexi later watches Honey and Jay have a spat, she tells Honey's son Will,
that Jay is cheating on Honey with her mum.
As the gossip spreads around the Square, Ash Panesar takes it upon herself to tell
Honey that Jay is cheating on her, leaving her devastated.
The upcoming scenes are part of a larger storyline which will see Jay and Lola reunite, before the young mum is given the devastating news that she has a brain tumour.
Tearjerking scenes will see Jay nurse Lola through her illness until she sadly
passes away later this year.
