Jean Slater will finally be popping back up on our screens next week, not
being seen on the soap since she decided to admit herself back into hospital,
but she's not returning alone.
Heading off for a holiday with her boyfriend Kheerat, Stacey is gobsmacked
when she bumps into her mother working in a holiday park.
Stacey explains in next Monday's episode, during a conversation with Martin,
that she needs to use up a holiday she booked before the pandemic, but Martin
reveals he can't go because he's too busy.
After extending the invitation to Kheerat, Martin tells Zack he regrets
turning the offer down, so he turns up with Kheerat to go on holiday.
Things get off to an awkward start for Stacey as she heads off on holiday with her ex-husband and new boyfriend as the two men bicker.
Later, Kheerat and Stacey go for dinner where they are shocked to find their
waitress is Jean Slater.
When Stacey goes to see her mum in her caravan, she gets another shock when
she discovers Jean is staying with Big Mo.
As they catch up over a drink, Stacey questions her mum about why she's
staying at the holiday park, and not with her friends as agreed.
As Jean explains she can never return to Walford, Stacey sets out on her
mission to make her mum change her mind and return home with her.
Sitting down with her family, EastEnders will air some emotional scenes as
they all tell Jean they want her to return home. Will she listen?
It was revealed recently that Laila Morse would be reprising her role as Big
Mo for a short stint.
EastEnders air these scenes next week, which will also be available on BB
iPlayer from Monday.
