Freddie Slater was last seen in Albert Square back in 2006, when the baby and his mother (Little Mo Slater) left Walford to start a new life outside London.

Bobby Brazier, the model and influencer son of Jeff Brazier and Jade Goody, has been cast in the role, and new details about his arrival have been released.

Next week Billy will come face-to-face with his ex-wife's son, but Freddie instantly ruffles a few feathers when he steals from Stacey's food van.

When Billy threatens to call the police, Freddie reveals to Billy that he's his son.

Viewers will remember Billy and Little Mo split after she became pregnant following her rape ordeal, with Billy finding it impossible to support his wife's choice to have the baby.

Has Little Mo kept the truth of his biological father a secret?

EastEnders boss Chris Clenshaw revealed earlier this week: "Freddie is like a cheeky charmer, like we've seen before. He's a bit of a lad, but I call him a modern day lad. He's got this spiritual side and he's philosophical."

"Freddie lives in the moment. He doesn't see too far down the road, so he doesn't think about the consequences of his actions and therefore he gets himself into a lot of trouble quite often." he said.

When asked about the casting of the character, Chris revealed: "we brought Bobby in to audition along with some others and he just blew us away with his performance. He is Freddie Slater."

Could Freddie's arrival in Walford see the return of his mum, Little Mo? It certainly seems like many of you would like to see some of the Slater family return.

EastEnders airs Freddie's arrival next week on BBC One.
