Earlier this year Linda Carter's family were left fearful she could succumb to
the injuries sustained in a car crash they believe she received after drink
driving, but viewers know the person driving was Janine Butcher. Future
episodes will see Janine panic as her lies begin to unravel.
Upcoming scenes see Linda face serious police charges as a result of the
crash, but her worries take a back seat after Linda's argument with
Stuart leaves her shaken. Thankfully Mick is on hand to support her, something
that infuriates Janine.
During a heart-to-heart between the estranged couple, Linda tells Mick she's scared of the prospect of being separated from her children if she's given a prison sentence.
During the conversation, with emotions running high, the pair almost kiss!
Later, as Janine tries to get Mick's attention, Linda is all he can think
about.
Wanting to help, Mick goes over the day's events with Linda which led up
to the crash, telling her to check the call log on her phone.
Checking her phone, Linda is shocked to find out she made a call to the Vic
shortly before the accident, something that leaves Janine panicking.
Later, after sharing the news with her best-friend, Linda's shocked when
Sharon announces she knows exactly who answered the call.
In front of Mick, Linda confronts Janine about the phone call she received before the crash. How will Janine get out of this one?
EastEnders air these scenes next week on BBC One and on iPlayer from Monday.

About time! The charge could NEVER stick. The writers often think the viewers are stupid.
