EastEnders is lining up a new dilemma for Phil Mitchell in upcoming scenes
ahead of the special Mitchell flashback episode.
The special, which will be set in 1979, will see Peggy struggle as she tries
to take care of her three children during difficult times.
The episode will come after viewers see present-day Phil under pressure
from DCI Keeble who has a new job for him.
When Sam arrives at Peggy's nightclub, she finds Ravi waiting for her. She
initially assumes he's an acquaintance of Jonah, but he reveals he's looking
for Phil.
After being thrown out of Peggy's, Ravi heads off to find Phil where he almost overhears him on the phone speaking to DCI Keeble about the upcoming job.
Later, Phil makes a phone call to somebody called Dodge, desperate for him to
dig up some dirt on Keeble.
Meeting Dodge at the Vic, Phil receives some of the information his friend has
on the detective before telling Dodge to get out of the country, and fast!
Later, Phil is met by Keeble who is furious. She has found out that Phil has
told everyone on her list to leave the country.
Keeble is then shocked to learn that Phil knows the real reason behind her targeting specific criminals, but Keeble turns the tables on Phil, handing him a photograph of somebody and demanding he gets information on them.
Who is it? And what will he do to avoid going back to prison?
EastEnders air these scenes next week.
