EastEnders boss Chris Clenshaw has revealed the end of Mick and Janine's relationship is just around the corner, leaving some viewers convinced Mick could turn vengeful against his current girlfriend.
Fans are predicting Mick will turn on Janine after discovering the truth about Jada, and the drink-drive accident she framed Linda for.
Will Mick kill Janine in a fit of rage, before going on the run? It certainly would leave the door open for a future return, and also explain why he leaves Walford without Linda.
One viewer said: "He’ll kill Janine when he finds out," as another said: "I think Mick should kill Janine for all the things she has done to his family. It would be the best exit storyline for him."
Speaking to The Mirror, Chris Clenshaw revealed: "Janine is in a relationship with Mick and we’re building to something very climactic between them."
He added: "Janine has got her everything in Mick and the Vic. But we all know how strong the bond is between Mick and Linda. And we know what Janine’s capable of. I won’t give away exactly how Ricky comes back, but it plays into the Janine story."
The huge storyline which will play out later this year will see Janine's brother Ricky, return home for the first time in over a decade, with actor Sid Owen adding: "Ricky has so much history in the Square to explore and while a lot of time has passed since we last saw him, it’s fair to say wherever Ricky goes, he always finds himself slap-bang in the middle of mayhem."
EastEnders airs weeknights on BBC One.
Hopefully Ricky's return will be for him to attend Jeanines funeral!!!
