If you lived on Albert Square, you really would think twice about spending Christmas at home, and it seems tragedy could be knocking on the door of Mick Carter this year as EastEnders reveals his final storyline.

Danny Dyer and Charlie Brooks who play Mick and Janine, are both leaving the soap over the festive period, and they are going out with a bang!

It was revealed last week that Shirley Carter will begin to grow increasingly suspicious of Janine in upcoming scenes, and Janine isn't safe on Christmas Day as Shirley makes it her mission to expose her over Christmas dinner.

As Janine continues to shrug off Shirley's accusations, Scarlett walks in with something to say. Will she out her own mother in front of the entire Carter family?

Whatever happens around the dinner table, viewers are told that Janine's lies will finally be exposed which leads to all hell breaking loose in the Vic.

As Micks world implodes, he tries to get answers from Janine but she flees Walford with Mick and Linda hot on her tail.

It's unknown if Janine or Mick will make it out of the chase alive, with news back in October revealing a fight between the trio on a clifftop, shortly before Linda and Janine drive over the edge in a car.

Could this really be the end of  Mick Carter?
