One EastEnders viewer reported an EastEnders scene to Ofcom. Was it about a murder or rape? Nope, Nick Cotton threw his cigarette butt to the ground and the viewer was outraged that he was not properly fined.
We bet EastEnders bosses had their wrists slapped when a viewer complained that characters spend too much time in cafes and pubs, which is not a true reflection of the spending of their income. Remember, someone actually sat down to write this complaint before sending the letter/email.
One fan expressed their rage when they complained that not enough hair nets are worn in food preparation areas.

Considering EastEnders has millions of viewers, maybe a couple of hundred complaints doesn't seem a lot but people also took to social media.
