With the usual television schedule all over the place due to the euro 2016, fans have blasted all the soaps for switching and changing from their usual slots.
With matches being shown on BBC and ITV, many viewers are left extremely frustrated. A BBC spokesperson told DigitalSpy: “BBC One is a mixed genre channel that broadcasts big live sporting events of national interest like the Euros 2016.
“It is sometimes necessary to move slots to accommodate live matches but ‘EastEnders’ continues to be on BBC One throughout the tournament.”
Many of the schedules for the later matches are currently unknown, it all depends on what happens. It is known for the next two weeks that schedules will be largely interrupted across all channels.

DeleteI don't know why people are suprised, this happens every time and is mostly accepted, though I do agree putting it all on bbc2 would be much easier, I'm not complaining about the way it is done. This is how I've always remembered it being, I may not like football but it being shown on TV does not bother me...

ReplyDeleteEastenders is one of the programmes people tune in for- mainly the reason for bbc but I agree why change it for football. If it wasn't for programmes like Eastenders would the bbc have half of its raitings it has?? I pay my TV licence not to watch football- put it on sky sports! Or if the bbc have tO play it stick it on bbc2 the channel no one watches.

DeleteAll the football, tennis etc should all be put on a separate channel leave us with our regular programs, have a sports only channel, after all not all of us like the sports...
ReplyDeleteThe licence fee is not enough to have a separate channel hence why bbc3 is now net only. We all pay our licence fee and I hardly watch anything on the BBC anymore due to them removing them from their line up. You won't keel over and die because your eastenders is missing and if you struggle to keep track series link or jump on their iplayer
