EastEnders tease the arrival of the Panesar brothers

"One of them has a past fascination with one of our characters on the Square already"

It's always exciting when a new family moves to Albert Square, and this autumn sees the Panesar brothers arrive in Walford, and the trio will make quite the impression!

Jags, Vinny and their older, successful brother Kheerat have a clear bond with each other, and they won't have much time to settle in before they get under the skin of one particular family on the square.

Executive producer Jon Sen told Digital Spy: "They turn up on the square with a mission that will become apparent.

"EastEnders is a show that prides itself on diversity, representing modern London and modern Britain. We were really keen at finding a way of telling stories from the Sikh community."

"They arrive, these three siblings who are very different in and of themselves. One of them has a past fascination with one of our characters on the Square already. They arrive with a little bit of a bang.

"Looking at that camaraderie they are loveable rogues and entrepreneurs. We're keen that they're not part of the criminal element that sometimes comes to EastEnders because that's the territory of the Mitchells. But if they can make a pound, they will."

"They are wheeler dealers in a classic Punjabi style. They're great, they bring a completely different tone and flavour to the show."

EastEnders will air the arrival of the Panesar brothers in the coming weeks.
