EastEnders Reveals 'Guardian Angel' Shock Return in New Year

It feels like anything is possible in EastEnders at the moment, and it seems soap fans will receive a belated Christmas present in the form of a returning character.

EastEnders boss Jon Sen recently revealed some of what's to come in 2020, and also revealed a shock "guardian angel" will return to Walford.

Speaking to Digital Spy, Jon revealed: "We have a stranger returning to the Slaters as their guardian angel, and we have the next chapter of the Whitney/Leo story, because Whitney felt that Leo was done and dusted but — as we will discover — that ain't so.

Things could also be set to change with the Atkins family: "Chantelle's growing awareness of her situation, and questioning whether Gray will ever change." he said.

We have also been promised an epic 35th Anniversary in February, and everyone at EastEnders is doing their bit to keep it top secret.

Many of you have already been speculating as to who the "guardian angel" could be. We've seen predictions of Hayley, Sean, and even Janine Butcher returning.
