EastEnders' Mick and Linda Carter go to war

Viewers have seen Linda Carter battling with her alcohol addiction, and it's clear the landlady wants to quit, but the temptation is always too great. Next week, Linda's drinking continues to increase as the rest of the family reach the end of their tether.

After a recent home visit from Social Services, Mick had to choose between telling the social worker the truth about Linda's alcohol addiction, or be suspected of abusing his wife. Next week Loretta returns for another meeting with the family, and this time Linda is prepared. Unfortunately with the meeting underway Linda's struggle leads to her sneaking some gin into her tea.

With Mick alone, Loretta talks to him about Linda's addiction, completely unaware that she is listening to every word.

Later, an angry Linda berates Mick for talking about her to the social worker and makes the decision to put Loretta straight on the situation.

When a drunken Linda later catches up with Loretta, it soon becomes clear she's about to make things a whole lot worse for the family.

After a chat with Tina, Mick is left feeling conflicted over Ollie's safety around his wife, but when Linda returns home and admits to her confrontation with the social worker, Mick is left distraught.

Has Linda made the decision for him?

With Linda now regretting her actions, Mick wonders if he also went too far after claiming Ollie would be better off without her. But before he can apologise, Linda storms out of the Vic.

Spotting Linda upset, she tries to calm her down but it's clear Linda's more determined than ever to protect herself. What is Linda up to?
