Viewers watched nervously recently when an episode see Gray Atkins tell hapless Tina Carter to stack the knives in the dishwasher blade side up, a scene that mirrored that of Chantelle's final moments shortly before her death.

Actor Luisa Bradshaw-White who plays Tina, revealed today that blood was actually spilt on-set whilst shooting the scene.

During last night's tense episode, one twitter user said "I have so much fear for Tina right now, not the fu**ing knifes" to which Luisa revealed: "I actually put my hand thru them and had to be rushed to A&E whilst the whole crew stood down...."

Thankfully Luisa doesn't seem to have suffered any long-term damage to her hand, but she did admit "there was a lot of blood!" before revealing "Tequila sorts everything..." when it comes to pain relief.

Luisa revealed earlier this year she was leaving the soap to spend more time on her solo project LuluOm as a trained Breathworker.

Details surrounding Tina's departure have been kept secret at EastEnders, but recent events show the character could flee after damming evidence puts her in the frame over the Ian Beale attack, but some viewers are worried Gray Atkins could strike again.

EastEnders airs weeknights on BBC One.

  1. ‘Damming evidence’ should be ‘Damning evidence’. Is nothing checked anymore? Rule of journalism; don’t use a phrase you don’t understand, or a word you cannot spell.
